The Jubilee Institute serves as the administrative arm of the Beloved Community Center and as a vehicle for building the capacity of the organization and the larger movement. In its administrative capacity, the Institute is responsible for the fiscal management of the affairs of the BCC; assists in communication from the Board and the Coordinating Committee to the remainder of the organization; makes available office equipment and meeting space to the Working Groups and the remainder of the organization; and continues to evolve necessary policies and procedures in accordance with developing needs of BCC. Through the Institute the BCC is able to serve as fiscal agent for partner organizations. The Institute also supports the BCC's fundraising. The organization is increasing its focus on developing a broad base of funding that comes primarily from those who are involved in building a beloved community. We recognize that money is often the instrument of control and/or the destruction of progressive social movements and we are working to develop a beloved community approach to raising money.
